Gallop is honored that our Highest Selling Gallop Stallion Service for 2016 is back in the lineup ~ multiple World and Congress Champion, VS Flatline! 'Kobe,' (as he is called), won both the Open Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure (shown by Jay Starnes) and the Non-Pro Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure (shown by Kristen Galyean) at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress in 2012. Just weeks later, he was crowned the AQHA World Champion Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure horse in Oklahoma City, again with Starnes in the saddle. While plans were to delay his breeding career to show him as a three-year-old, demand from mare owners changed those plans slightly to accommodate a limited book of mares and still show him during this three-year-old year. Like his older brother, 'Kobe' handled the dual roles easily, a testament to his great mind and kind disposition. At the 2011 NSBA World Championship Show in August, Starnes showed him for the first time in Junior Western Pleasure and was rewarded with the win. It was on to the Congress, where he repeated wins in the Open Three-Year-Old and Non-Pro Three-Year-Old Western Pleasure. Previous owner Kristen Galyean and Kobe also won the Amateur Western Pleasure in a challenging class of proven amateur pleasure horses.
Proven in the show arena, VS Flatline has also proven and made his mark as a sire in Western Pleasure and All-Around events. At the 2018 AQHA World Championship Show, (7) of the (15) finalists in the Junior Western Riding were sired by VS Flatline or VS Code Red, with the World Champion Cool Cruzen Lady (by VS Flatline) repeating her 2017 win, with yet another record-breaking score. When the Pleasure Versatility Challenge debuted at the AQHA World Championship Show, it featured (15) top Western Pleasure/All-Around prospects in the country. VS Flatline and VS Code Red sired one-third of the class of (5). The overall Champion was a VS Flatline, KM Flat Out The Best, shown by Deanna Searles for Susan Johns. The little red roan mare won the conformation portion and placed third in both the pattern and pleasure portions, coming out on top. Florida Georgia Line, also sired by VS Flatline, won the pattern portion of the challenge unanimously. Known to be like his mother, Kobe possesses a great attitude; things seem easy for him, making it fun for both horse and rider.
